Dr. Fab Mancini: Hi. This is Dr Mancini, and as you know, I'm on a mission to end chronic disease, and I'm here with the greatest innovator that I know in nutrition, Rick Anson. Rick, it's so great to see you again. Oh, thanks for having me here. Dr Fauci, well, I just want to pick your brain on this thing we call cognitive decline. I remember that when we started hearing the word dementia, and we started hearing the word Alzheimer's, it was for people that were 75 years or older, right? And we started getting alarm, because we're like, Oh my gosh. You know, even though the mortality rate in the United States is around 78 years old, I realized I don't want to ever be put in a position where this condition can actually impact me. Well, your brain is actually like a cell battery, and that when that battery is charged, it feels wonderful and it gives you everything you need. But when that battery begins to wear out, and even if you plug it in. It doesn't charge for maybe up to 20% that's the onset of what we call cognitive decline. Now the interesting thing is that we're seeing a tremendous rise in the population, especially in younger ones, where we're now seeing dementia, Alzheimer's, brain fog, lack of focus. All of these signs that are there for you to pay attention, that maybe your brain is struggling more than you think. So you began to look at this. And I know that we have things like neurotropics and things like that have become very popular in the marketplace, but when you try to tackle that particular chronic disease, cognitive decline, that includes all of these things. As an innovator in nutrition, what were you looking at, and what were you looking at ingredients that can actually help reverse many of these conditions?

Rick Anson:

Yeah, that's it's a challenge, right? That's a global topic, but it's one of my I'm passionate about. It's one of my favorites, is you take a global perspective, like we earlier segment, we talked about a global perspective on weight loss and long term weight management, because there's so many factors that contribute to people's obesity and weight gain. So when you look at cognitive function, cognitive decline, you have to look at all the factors, and it is definitely Parkinson's, Alzheimer's dementia. It's the brain fog, but it's also a lot of the lack of the nutrition that's in our foods. And so when we looked at this again, we chose to fight source, the finest, safest, most effective ingredients from all industries. We pulled some ingredients out of big pharmaceutical I actually worked with Health Canada for three years on ingredients for Parkinson's dementia, Alzheimer's, and one of them was actually a cannabinoid product. But when you look at that, you have to tackle it from a global perspective, understand the causes of brain fog, the causes of Parkinson's dementia, Alzheimer's and then provide the correct ingredients and the nutrients for the brain that the brain needs on the daily basis, that we don't get anymore fat because it's stripped out of our foods. Everything is processed or filled with preservatives, and we don't get some of these vital brain nutrients in our foods any longer. And you see what these pharmaceutical companies are putting in the different types of drugs that are just a short term, you know, band aid for people. So we took that global perspective. We sourced the finest ingredients to have their clinically based, to have, you know, efficacy behind them. And again, put them into a product line. Put them into a form that the daily person, the general consumer, can use on a daily basis, that is just part of their daily lifestyle, that they experience, that taste amazing. And again, we chose this in a beverage form, because there's so many people out there that are drinking their daily nutrition. It's a habit. I love to hold that, that goated drink in my hand. And when you look at form factors, are global drinks to RTDs ready to drink. Products are number one, great tasting, vegan, sugar free gummies. Everybody loves a gummy, but you're gonna really love our gummies. How well they taste. Dr. Fab Mancini: But you know, for me, it's been a real challenge to see society fading away. There is so much fear right now by individuals that see their parents and grandparents really losing it, and all of a sudden they're confronted with a decision, what do I do? And it gets to a point that when you have dementia. Now, listen to this, the six millions of Americans have Alzheimer's right now, but every three seconds, somebody's diagnosed with dementia, every three seconds. And we had an aunt that unfortunately died of dementia. And I'm telling you, it was the saddest thing to see when you have a loved one that from the outside, everything looks perfect, but there's nothing inside. There's no recognition. The organs started weathering away. You know, her challenge was that she will leave the house and not remember how to get back home. She will go to a shopping center, buy something and completely leave it there, not knowing what happened, and then the store is calling saying, Oh, you left your bag here, and she didn't even remember that she bought anything. So I want you to know that this is personal, because we have to address cognitive decline and many of these ingredients that you have seen in the market, and you have seen the clinical science, and you have seen the benefits that it can bring somebody. But what I love about you Rick is your mechanisms of delivery, right right right now we notice that sugar drinks are one of the biggest culprits in creating inflammation, not only in the body, but in the brain. I remember one time I had, I was having dinner with Dr Daniel Amen, which is a dear mentor and a friend, and I asked Daniel, I said, Daniel, you've been one of the leading experts of brain function all these years. What is the main cause of many of these cognitive declines? Like he said, fab. It boils down to inflammation in the brain. So when you have these drinks, remember, if you have a drink you're already having right now, if you're drinking water, why not drink a drink that tastes even better, but it has full of ingredients that are there to help you. If you're drinking a soda, I'm just gonna say, Stop. Just stop. I mean, you're putting 20 to 27 grams of sugar every single time that you drink a can or a bottle. You have to stop that your body cannot consume that. And we already know that sugar is as addictive, or more addictive than cocaine and some of the other drug street drugs that we see in the market. If you're drinking an energy drink, I'm going to say it again, stop. Stop. Energy drinks are full of not only sugar, but caffeine, to the point that it stresses your nervous system, to the point that you crash. This is not healthy energy. But what about if you have something that not only tastes great, you can enjoy it, your kids will love it. I promise you, they're going to let go of many of those energy drinks. But more importantly, it's going to sustain not just your energy level, but your focus, your ability to think clearly, your creativity, all of the things that right now are struggling. Many of the problems that we're seeing in this engagement in the workplace is the lack of cognitive function. They're not there because not that. Maybe they don't like it, or they are not happy with that environment. Is that mentally, they're not there, they are fading away because they're not able to be clear and productive for you and you're paying them. So what about replacing all those sodas that you have in the break room, and put in these drinks so they can actually benefit? Let them pay for it. They'll pay for it because it's actually great tasting, but more importantly, it makes you feel amazing. But also, you talked a little bit about the gummies and the capsules, and I love that concept is because you're giving people options. You can take all three, or you can take whatever deliverable mechanism is better for you. I personally like all three because I've spread it throughout the day, but I recognize that I am feeding my brain to prevent from being ever in a position that somebody's going to say to me, fab, you have onset dementia. Fab, you have onset Alzheimer's. But what is something else that you feel in this mission of yours? Rick, that for you, I see your passion behind this. I see the way you make these products. I see the way that you run your company. I see the way that you promote and inspire people to really make better choices. What is it that you feel people need to understand of how challenging these cognitive declines can really be in someone's life?

Rick Anson:

Yeah, this is a mission. It's a lifelong mission to create these products, or drug free that help people in all these different categories. I I was lucky enough to be an athlete. I love competition. I love helping people compete. That we struggle with as we get older. But you know, right now, one out of five adults have actually been diagnosed with cognitive impairment. That's you, that's me, that's our cousins and uncles and aunts and and brothers and sisters and parents and grandparents. And I want you to understand that this issue is an issue that we need to tackle right? We're on a mission of ending chronic disease. Why? Because it's 90% of the health care costs, just in America, and it's actually going to become like that for other parts of the world that are copying Americans and how to be healthy, we are not healthy. We have an administration now that is trying to make us healthier, right? We have a whole movement in America, and actually parts of the world called Make America healthy again, right? And I think it should also be make everyone healthy again, right? That signals, I think, is really a movement that goes beyond America. But guess what? This is where we live in America, and we need to take care of our own and we're doing this by primarily providing information, because you need to understand the mechanisms of what got you here in the first place, and then secondarily, we need to offer you possible solutions. I mean, we know food is the new medicine. Is not chemicals in pharmaceutical. Food is the new medicine. And even though sometimes it's difficult to get some of these ingredients, because how many people are eating in Africa right now to get the mango? How many people have the ability to get an ingredient that is so pure into your diet? That's why supplementation, the right supplementation can make all the difference in the world. And when you have ingredients that are clinically tested, that have been already shown the evidence to provide an outcome that is going to help you reverse your chronic disease, that's when I get very excited. So Rick, you and I have talked a little bit about the concern of many parents that their kids are being labeled or diagnosed with the ADHD, tell me a little bit about in your experience from ingredients and formulations, what are you finding in that space where maybe people can get a different option than a pharmaceutical, and maybe they can find the right ingredients that support Not only their children, but also maybe their loved ones, children's Yeah,

Rick Anson:

I think in this country, right? You, so many people are misdiagnosed with ADHD. I mean, you go to a doctor, maybe your thinking pattern is a little different. Maybe you're just super creative. There's so many corporate leaders, political leaders, CEOs in this country that are probably being diagnosed with ADHD that they are just simply super creative and think a little different than most people. And so when you look at that, I've had so many people, parents come to me, children, you know, they're teenagers that come to me. Will Will this product help with their ADHD and I say, You know what these products will help with their cognitive support, help with their the vital nutrients they need so their brain is developing properly, focusing for short term, long term memory, all these things. So our products are not simply helping people who have ADHD. Our products are offering solutions for people who don't have necessarily do not, either if you do have ADHD or do not, it's a solution for people and children to use these products to help with all of those conditions that they've been labeled with. Many mothers and fathers are working. Each have a job, and so we've seen this long term detriment from COVID, and we're seeing people use our products for long haul COVID and to help get that spark. Work back, get that ability to think quicker and think better in many ways, and focus and achieve, achieve more on a daily basis, and increase their physical and mental performance across the board. And that's that's what I'm most satisfied about.

And if you know anybody, whether it's yourself or somebody, a loved one, that is really struggling and beginning to show the signs of forgetfulness, memory loss, potentially fogginess and lack of focus, those are just the early signs. That means that the process is already taking place. Many of these conditions begin years before we see a symptom. That's why we have to reverse the healthcare system, to address the root cause of the problems, to change lifestyles that support a healthy human being, and most importantly, to involve and become a community that supports one another in this process. When we do that, that's when I know that you're going to be able to be the healthiest that you can possibly be. But more importantly also is that your people around your family, your loved ones, your coworkers, can also achieve the same thing. So pay attention cognitive decline critical for the future, not only of Americans, but the rest of the world. Do something about it today.
